Formula 1 races down the Strip at night from 19 to 21 November 2026, past the casinos, the cars lit by the city rather than by floodlights - the first leg of the season-closing triple header with Qatar and Abu Dhabi. It is the most theatrical weekend on the calendar and the most expensive to attend. From India it is also the hardest, because it is American.
The obstacle
A United States B1 or B2 visitor visa is required for an Indian passport, and the appointment wait is the binding timeline. Nothing else about this weekend matters until that is held. Tickets and rooms can be arranged in months. The visa cannot.

Grandstands run above most rounds, commonly 60,000 to 1,50,000 rupees for three days. Strip hotels move to race week rates, a multiple of an ordinary November night, and the better positions on the circuit clear early. From India it lands near 5,00,000 rupees a person.
What it is, and when it is not worth it
A night race down a public street through a city that never turns its lights off is unlike anything else in the sport. The weekend is also spread across a very large footprint, the road closures are severe, and viewing from general admission is close to non existent. For a first race, Singapore gives more of a weekend for less.
Against Singapore and Abu Dhabi
Singapore is the same idea, done more compactly and far more easily from India. Abu Dhabi sits closer, costs less, and usually decides the championship. Las Vegas is the one taken once the others are done and the spectacle is the point.

Can the race be watched without a ticket?
Not meaningfully. The circuit is fenced and the sightlines from public ground are deliberately limited. A grandstand or a hospitality seat is the only real way to see it.
What is the weather like in Las Vegas in November?
Dry and cold at night, which surprises people. Days reach 18 to 20 degrees, but the race runs at 10pm in the desert and trackside temperatures fall to 8 or 10. Anyone dressed for Vegas rather than for a November desert night has a bad race.
What should you wear to the Las Vegas Grand Prix?
A proper jacket, and layers under it. The circuit is open desert air at night. Shoes you can walk in, because the Strip circuit is long and the grandstands are spread across it. Ear protection if you are close to the barriers.
How do you get around Las Vegas on race weekend?
Large sections of the Strip close from Thursday, which breaks the usual taxi and rideshare routes and makes journeys that normally take ten minutes take an hour. Walking between hotels and the monorail are what regulars use. Hotel choice matters more here than at any other race.
